Tragedy has struck!

This morning while at work I called one of my neighbors to tell him a book was here for him. He told me one of the three hawks nesting in our woods had nose-dived into his front window and died! He said it measured 19" from beak to tail tip. He thought it was one of the adults. How sad. First a female cardinal at our house and now a hawk at his.

Today I'm working because it is my Saturday off. It always seems a bit strange being at work on a Thursday. "Never quite got the hang of Thursdays." (Marvin the paranoid android - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) This Saturday, Andy and I may spend the day in the city. News at 11:00!

Last night watched "The New World" with Denny. It is almost an art-house film. Beautifully filmed at awesome locations but the story was a bit hard to follow. Very choppy. It starred Colin Farrell and Christian Bale.

Guess that's all the worthless information I can think of right now.

Here's today's interesting fact:
A group of geese on the ground is a gaggle, a group of geese in the air is a skein!
And, I wonder, if they knit while aloft? (think about it!) Sorry.......Sue
