Computers are wonderful and magical things, aren't they? The love they instill in us can only be compaired to a mother's love for her children. The anger they instill in us is intense!! Last night the computer parts came via UPS and side by side, Ben and I installed the new parts into 2 computers. One of the disks seemed to have some problems but Ben didn't think it was of any concern. After dinner, Denny proceeded to try to get Windows installed and get updates for it from Microsoft. Things didn't work properly and problems insued and to make a long, sorded story short, as of 9:00 a.m. today our computer still does not function. Crap!.....
I'm at work for the day and have loads to do.

Reinstalling Windows is not a way to fix all problems! Correct! It is a way to create problems! See you around the tech manual! ~Sue
Addendum: As of lunchtime, Denny had discovered that the computer memory stick Ben had so graciously donated to us was faulty! Dennis ask me which one it was (there were 3) and thankfully I remembered and after removing it, voila! Denny is now reinstalling all the backed up and saved stuff we want on the computer. Ahhhh...... Success!
