Night before last I had a most unusual and disturbing dream. In the dream/nightmare, the hawks that live here in the woods were somehow in the house chasing the cats around. I opened the door to chase them out and the cats ran outside followed closely by the hawks. At that point, unseen by me, the hawks morphed into lions and ate the cats! Horrible!! I truly had NOT been drinking or using illegal substances of any sort. I did not have heavy or spicy foods or an unusual amount of caffeine or sugar. So, where did a dream like this come from? I rarely have dreams of this sort, especially ones that wake me up and I remember. The human mind is a strange and wonderful thing.
Today I am going to go shopping for a new microwave and also stop in at Big Lots, one of my fave stores. You never know just what you'll discover there. Then I will pick Andy up at school for the weekend. This morning I've already baked a cake for Dennis' birthday. It is a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. The best part is I get to help eat it! Hurrah!
Today's interesting fact:
Back in the Roman Era, striking and significant dreams were submitted to the Senate for analysis and interpretation.
I'd like to know what they'd make of mine! They'd probably put me away to save the general populace from my madness!
See you around the birthday cake. Come on! Everybody sing! ~Sue

I had a dream the other night that Nate, Geoff, Amy, and I were being chased by some giant wild beastie... but we escaped.
I hope the cats don't REALLY get eaten by lions!! Although George does look kind of plump in that picture...
