Saturday:
Went in the evening to see Ironman . Brilliant fun. Robert Downey, Jr. was fab. Had soft serve ice cream after. Very nice evening out.
Sunday:
Made a “puff pancake” for breakfast. It is prepared in a cast iron skillet in the oven. It is much like a giant popover. We eat it with powdered sugar and apple butter. Grilled casing franks for lunch and ate them along with baked beans and black pepper crisps. Drove up to see Mom and my older brother was there with his wife as well. Enjoyed the visit quite a bit. Stayed at Mom’s for a supper of veg pizza. On the way home, got a wonderful call from Rachel. Another nice day.
