Six random things...
1)So far, I've had a active role in fully a dozen weddings. First I was ring bearer three times, then a groomsman three times, best man three times, scripture reader once, groom once, and father of the bride once. I also signed Jim & Carol's marriage license (and was their photographer too) but I didn't stand up with them so it's up to you if you want this to count as number thirteen. Although one of these marriages has, sadly, broken up the success rate of marriages that I've participated in is still well over 90%!
2)I have bunches of hobbies. Among these are reading, music enjoyment (or maybe I should say playing with stereo equipment), cars, gardening, fish keeping, cabinet making, bicycling, photography, computers, woodcarving, and even playing the tin whistle. I've always been , and continue to be, an avid reader but my interest the various other activities have waxed and wained over the years. Currently I'm spending more time woodworking or playing with my Italian car and less time gardening or bicycling but this is subject to chance without notice.
3)I've flown in a ultralight para plane as well as jets and light planes. Quite a difference between them. Flying in a jet seems to me like riding in a bus on the freeway and a light plane is like riding in a car on state highways but the ultralight is more like riding a bicycle through the back roads. You can smell the freshly cut hay, see the currents in the river, and the people that you pass smile and wave when they look up. Great fun! Try it if you get a chance.
4)I seem to think I should be able to do anything, with the possible exception of, say, brain surgery or nuclear reactor design. Now obviously this a pretty silly thing for me to think but even so it still feels like I'm cheating whenever I need to ask anyone for help. Seriously, I need to get a grasp of my limitations & not have unreasonable expectations of my own abilities. Although now that I think about it, the operations I preformed on rats in college went pretty well and brain surgery couldn't be much different than that and for that matter I bet if I really needed to design a reactor I'd be able to find a good “how to” page on the Internet.... Yep, I should be able to do that.....
5)One thing that I can really do now is give vaccinations! I've been certified by the State of Ohio so I should be able to start giving flu shots within the next few weeks.
6)I acted in several plays in junior high and high school. Although I make no claim of being a great thespian, I did all right (mostly). My greatest claim to fame came when I took a pie in the face during my 8th grade class play.
I'm afraid & won't be tagging any other bloggers for the simple reason I don't have a clue who I would pick!
Oh, and for the record Rachel & Dee - I have the cheap gene too!
Cheers - dj

Good 6 things!
Wow, I guess you have been in a lot of weddings!
I guess that must be why I have varied and shifting hobbies- it's all your fault.
