Yes, this is the oven I use to make all the yummy stuff I bake. I've actually been on a bit of a baking tangent as of late. Generally I don't bake and only use the oven for roasting or making casseroles, etc. I am also saying "oven" singular since the upper oven hasn't worked for the last 5 years. Of course it is the larger of the two. The small, lower oven DOES work. I really like the way the ovens look but quite frankly, they're too small. If they both worked it would be a different story. I'm hard pressed to put a whole turkey in the small oven and since the upper one doesn't heat, what would be the point of putting the turkey in there to cook? I mean really.... The upper oven is a good place to warm plates and bowls if the lower oven is on because the heat does transfer a bit. That at least makes it occasionally useful.

We will soon embark on our kitchen project. It will be a huge project, and expensive. Dennis will be building the new cabinets himself. He is currently working out the configuration of drawers, doors, etc. We have already decided on the layout of the kitchen. We will also be replacing the floor with hardwood. Did I say huge project? Just so we're clear on the hugeness of the project.
