Sometimes the best thing is nothing

For my 3 day mini-break, the best thing I did was nothing. Not nothing as in not important but nothing as is doing nothing. Off and on over the weekend, I sat on one of these benches with a stack of books and various cold beverages enjoying the Summer-like weather, listening to the birds, and doing nothing. NOTHING! Nought, zip, zero, zilch. I have to say, it was very nice. Oh, believe me, I did other stuff including vigorous walks, house cleaning, laundry, etc. But, I also did stretches of nothing and truly enjoyed it as well.

Friday we had a very nice visit with Rachel and Nathan. They arrived in time for lunch and visited for awhile before heading for Elkheart, Indiana to spend time with their friends Ben and Jennifer. It was so good to see them. It doesn't happen often enough.

Saturday was spent talking about our kitchen project which is still in the planning process but coming along rapidly. I did a lot of chores as well and made burgers for lunch and pasta for dinner.

Sunday we went to Church and then to Defiance to do some research for the kitchen. Then back to Church to celebrate Woody and Charlotte's 50th anniversary. It was a great party and we had a nice time visiting with relatives and old friends. In the evening, Ben came for supper and we grilled again.

This week is Andy's last week of college for this semester and I will move him home on Thursday.

Have a great week!
