Sunday follies and foibles

Random stuff from Sunday:

I had to move Albert Gnome from his favorite place under the birdbath because the ground cover got so tall he couldn’t see anything and his reflecting ball only reflected the undersides of leaves. He is spending the Summer with Mr. Woodenhead and the fake resin squirrel.

Dennis and I actually made it to Church. I’m a bit surprised Pastor didn’t faint or have us expelled.

We ate left over frankfurters at lunch. They were very good though having been grilled previously.

Dennis wanted to go to the dreaded Wal*Mart and asked me if I wanted to go along. I decided to go but didn’t bother changing out of my capri sweat pants and T shirt. Of course I saw and was greeted by 6 people I knew. *sigh*

Bought “A Knight’s Tale” for $5. A real bargain. I also got a bright pink tank top to wear under other stuff. Only $5 also.

I posted all those photos in my previous post.

I cut up a cantaloupe and some limes. I squeeze fresh lime into all my drinks. No, not milk, coffee, or hot tea. Just all the rest of my drinks.

I finally did the vacuuming.

I made a fantastic frittata for dinner. At Library we have been buying fresh brown eggs from a local man. I had nearly 2 dozen eggs in my fridge. I whisked up 9 of them (to empty a carton) and made the frittata with pancetta, fresh mushrooms, onion, peppers, and browned cheese on top. Very delicious. We have left overs if you want some.

Dennis and I did a 3 or 4 mile bicycle ride.

I did some reading. Current book – “The Poet” by Michael Connelly. Guaranteed to creep me out.

In the evening we watched “Singin’ in the Rain” with Andy because it was an assignment for his Online class and we hadn’t seen it for many years. What a fantastic fun film! Nice way to end the day.

How was your Sunday? Do anything special? Are you reading anything? Have any great food?

So now I’ve got to get ready for work. It’s very dark and rainy outside today and we are supposed to get rain for several days running. Anybody got any Gopher wood? The mosquitoes will repopulate the Earth if we all drown.

Wow, busy day!

We went to church, worked on the garden (someone lent us a roto-tiller!), went to a graduation party (and ate really good food), I took a nap, went to church again, Nathan made breakfast sandwiches for dinner... I think that's about it.

Don't worry, God promised not to do that whole flood thing again. :)
