I’ve been plugging away at the kitchen cabinet project but it’s been slow going these last few weeks. Even so the first eleven cabinet carcasses have been completed. The two that remain will be the trickiest to build so wish me luck with those!!

The next step after all the boxes have been assembled will be to make and attach the face frames. Stay tuned – I’ll keep you posted…

Wow, that's great! Serious progress. Good job! Want to help Nathan make a bookshelf while we're there next weekend?
yes, lots of progress! and lots of cabinets! you probably said already, but are you drastically changing the layout of the existing kitchen? or keeping it about the same but with new cabinets/etc?
Rachel - Looking forward to seeing you & Nathan this weekend! Sure I'd like to help build stuff - but I am working this weekend so I'd only be able to help on Friday or after 6 Saturday... When can we expect you to arrive??
Katie - We'd need to rip out the soffits to make any change to the kitchen's footprint -so- that will remain the same. Although our new kitchen design retains the same footprint we've tried to make more efficient use of the space by minimizing dead corners & etc.. as well as replacing the wall oven & cooktop with a free standing range. We'll see soon enough how it works out...
