Last Friday, after looking for weeks, nay MONTHS for flooring we both liked for our kitchen project, we found this! It's an 18" porcelain tile but not like typical ceramic tile. This is a "floating" floor, much like a laminate floor but it's real porcelain tile. It's interlocking and has a 1/4" grout line. The grout may be tinted any variety of colors and the grout is flexible so if the floor moves at all, the grout will not crack!
I'm very excited about it!
Really!

i've seen that around but haven't heard much about it - must be new?
seems like it would be a good choice though and it's going to look great!!
Interesting stuff! I'd never heard of a floating tile floor and would expect the grout to be a real problem. Hmmmm.... -- JG
