So, it's raining again and there is wide spread flooding. Lovely. We went from drought to flooding in 60 seconds.
In just a bit, Andy and I are driving up to get Denny at the airport. Before we get to the airport we are going to do some shopping and after we collect Denny we are going to eat lunch out and do a little more shopping. Then we will come back home and Denny will sort all his stuff out and things will go back to normal, whatever that is. I'm sure he will be glad to get home. It's always fun to go places but it is usually even better to get back home again. I switched my day off from tomorrow to today so I could drive to the airport to get Denny which means I will be working Thursday. I'm also working Saturday so I can have Saturday next off. Denny and I are going to an Italian car show in Columbus where Denny has entered his car into competition. Should be fun.
Andy is getting his stuff around for his move back to college this Sunday. Friday he will be getting his hair cut so it doesn't look like quite so over grown and scraggly.
I am going to bake a chocolate cake Friday for Ben's birthday. He will be 25 on Monday.
Today's interesting fact:
The birthday cake is only 200 years old. Cakes made from sweetened bread dough and coated with sugar were the first birthday cakes and they originated in Germany. But who wants to eat 200 year old birthday cake I wonder. I'd rather have fresh baked, thanks.
See you around the airport! ~Sue
