New job, new clothes!

You should have see Ben today when he came home from his new job! He had bought a new work shirt and was wearing it with his usual jeans and work hat. His shirt was soaked with sweat and his jeans were filthy with grease or at least something black, and he was grinning like a loony! He loves his new job as a "Tooling Technician" and says it is perfect for him. Hurrah for Ben! He really needed the change. He was so bored.

I worked this morning and went to lunch with coworkers and then on to the supermarket where I spent a bunch of money and got loads of stuff. We had run out of a lot of things. The weather is very sultry and this morning whilst I was doing the recycling it poured down rain in buckets. Good that I wore sandals today because when I got to work I had to remove my sandals and dry them and my feet as well!

The kitten makes occasional appearances to eat and look frightened but then goes somewhere until the next time. Wish he would find a nice barn to live in.

My Mom is flying down to see Bill in Virginia next week. Wish I could go but I have to work and have car payments to make with the ticket money. Denny and I are going to go visit Rachel and Nathan in Kentucky come September so that will have to do. Looking forward to it as well!

Today's interesting fact:
86% of workers cite work fulfillment and balance as top career priorities. Hmmm, and I thought it was all about getting paid!

Stay cool ducks! Autumn is nearly here! ~ Sue

Rachel and I are excited for your visit. We "tested" the air mattress this morning and are looking forward to actually sleeping on it. It's actually pretty comfortable. Now if only we could find sheets that actually fit it...

"That will have to do"?!?! Hmph. I can't believe visiting us is just "settling."

Yay for Ben's promotion! Getting dirty is fun, and it sounds like he gets to do that! I start work in the morning... eek!

Congrats on getting more hours at the library- I know you were wanting that! I'm a little overwhelmed just thinking about how much I'm going to be working; today was my last free weekday... EVER!

(that deleted comment was me- I accidentally commented as Nathan)
