Yesterday Ben and I drove Denny to the airport for his trip to Baltimore for the Rite Aid Trade Show. Denny didn't have any weather delays or changes like many of his associates but when he got to the hotel, his room was not ready and he spent the remainder of the afternoon standing by his bag in the hotel lobby! Gads! He certainly didn't have the nice day that Ben and I had. We went to the Maumee Antique Mall and spent a good long while there. I got an old license plate holder that is from a "Jones" car dealership! (Ford though) I also got a small strainer which is good for sprinkling powdered sugar on puff pancakes! I already have one but you can never have too many small strainers can you? Then Ben and I had very greasy fish 'n chips at Long John Silvers. We went to The Anderson's and picked up produce, bread, and Scottish beer. We decided to drive up 20A so we could visit the Delta Antique Market and discovered there is a second antique store in Delta just up from there! We went to both but only bought stuff at the Market. I bought a beautiful Amish made 'rag rug' which is new, not antique and something else that may be a Christmas gift. Ben and I made our way home via Liberty Center and had to stop at the Dug Out ice cream stand. Ben emailed Andy from his cell phone and just asked "milk shake or malt, please reply" and Andy emailed Ben's phone back, "A chocolate malt would be lovely." The girl had just started making a chocolate milk shake and was able to add the malt in for 40 cents extra. It rained nearly the entire trip but it was a grand day out all in all.
Last night I watched 2 episodes of Monk season 3. I have borrowed it on Interlibrary loan and had to beg the lending library for a full week to watch it! Not sure I'll get done. Drat! I had to wait a full month to get it as well! To top it off, the discs are not in very good shape and keep pixelating on me!
Guess that's all the excitement I can muster. Here's today's interesting fact:
The American National Cancer Institute spends $1 million per year to encourage people to eat fruits and vegetables. For some reason nobody has to spend a penny to get us to eat sweets! Hmmmm...

I wish it'd rain more here- it's still HOT.
I want to go antiquing one of these saturdays. To bad I couldn't go with you :(
Have fun watching Monk... I really like that show but haven't watched it since... what, 1st or 2nd season? I think I'm going to watch "Fat Walk" tonight because I like shows like that. I'd watch Supernanny, but I like Nate too much and he doesn't like Supernanny enough. When does House start? We'll soon be watching that and Lost.
...My brain melted. Bye!
