Here it is! Our new microwave! We ordered it from Amazon.com and they would give us free shipping if we didn't mind it taking up to 2 weeks to receive it. So, wanting to save money and not being in a hurry because we were using Ben's microwave, we went for the free shipping. They said we could expect to get it around the 22nd. This afternoon the doorbell rang and there was a microwave on the porch! We ordered it on Monday!! That is 3 days! Amazing! Now I needed to test it out for performance compared to the old one which was the same brand. The old one was a meager 1100 wts and the new one a very powerful, but elegantly packaged 1300 wts! I had leftover tea from breakfast so I popped a cuppa into the new "machine" and away it went, heating my previously cold tea to hot perfection! It passed the first test. A bit later I will submit it to the ultimate test...... that of popping popcorn! Ha! That will be the supreme task! I'll let you know on that one.
In other news.... today Ben and I looked at a house that may just be the one he buys. I'll write more on that when things start happening. It is small, has land and a lot of potential.
Last night we watched "Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer." It was nearly as good as the first one and fun to watch.
Today's interesting fact:
Microwaves warm up food by making the molecules in the food vibrate at incredible speed.
