Updates

Just wanted to type a short message to keep in touch. At work I am helping to train a new employee and that is really fun for me. I probably should have been a teacher but don't like all the assorted rules and requirements that go into it. The teaching part might be fun though.

Today I'm off to Ben's to paint primer on the kitchen cabinets. Yesterday Dennis primed the walls and ceiling in the kitchen. He also worked on the interior doors he has repaired. After today the two bedrooms and the kitchen should be ready for paint! Hurrah. After we paint the two bedrooms we can lay the flooring. Then all they will need are new outlets and heat register covers and lights. They will be done soon. The kitchen may take a bit longer because the cabinets will need enamel paint but then we will install the new door pulls on them and Dennis will cut shelves for a tall cabinet and the kitchen will be done. (Except for cleaning the floor and a very large cupboard interior. Those things will take virtually no time to do.) Next will be the basement stairwell. It needs a good cleaning/scrubbing and then priming and painting as well. The living room and bath will be last since they need the most work.

Tomorrow (Friday) I will go to get Andy from school for a three day weekend. Depending on what I get done today, I may be going to Ben's first but hopefully not. After I prime the kitchen cabinets today if I have time and energy I will try to clean the basement stairwell. Ben needs to clean up the basement a bit as well. I suspect the brothers and Dennis will spend most of Saturday there whilst I'm working at Library. (Ah, poor me! Ha! For once I'm glad to work on Saturday!)

Today's interesting fact: It is easier to sit in front of a computer than it is to prime kitchen cabinets! ~Sue
