This afternoon, I’ll be working at the yard, and all the leaves upon it. We don’t have a leaf vacuum. Why would anybody want to vacuum leaves anyway? To get the crumbs off of them? At any rate, I’ll get out the riding lawn mower, and the leaf blower and have at them. What a way to spend my day off! At least the weather is fine and warm. Sadly, there are still loads of leaves on the trees and the temperatures are supposed to turn cold. *sigh* See you later.
(Yes, this is our actual front yard. Thankfully, our back yard is all woods and is allowed to go au natural!)
Addendum: The mower had no gas so I took the recycling into town, got gas for the mower, came home, blew around a bunch of leaves and got onto the mower. Wouldn’t start. Stupid battery’s dead! Put away patio table and chairs, disposed of dead pumpkin heads in field behind our woods, swept seeds and dried pumpkin goo off patio. Dug up giant flat-leaf parsley plant trying to grow it indoors during Winter.
Parsley in ground, covered with leaves.
Parsley in pot, sans leaves. See why I want to try to keep it? Yum!
2nd Addendum: Ben just happened to stop by after work and got the mower going for me. The lawn is done, for today. There are still plenty of leaves in the trees. I'm hoping that they will either somehow stay up there or blow into the neighbors yards!
