This is our “new” coffee table. You remember my post about the furniture. The red plate is a Chinese plate with Kanji on it, which is always on the table. It has been transformed into Christmas mode with a candle and greenery. The giant pine cones under the table were found by my parents on a trip “out West.” They are Jeffrey Pine cones.

Remember the handmade star on the top of our tree? This Father Christmas was made by our good friend Peggy, who taught us how to make the star. She is a very gifted crafts woman. She paints, sews, and upholsters furniture. She has even made some furniture. Such talent!

A quaint, rather “cutsie” snowman standing near a nutcracker dressed like one of the Queens guards, right down to the bearskin hat! This one, looking at his hat plume, appears to be a Welsh guard.

love the christmas decorations! i also meant to write on the other post about assembling the christmas tree - that had me laughing, esp. the last picture with the cat... that's something our cat would do too.
thanks for the comment about the entry light, i think we'll keep it, at least for a little while.
