Denny didn't win any prizes with his car but his was the only one of it's type there so that was fun for him. Most were Ferrari's so Denny's car was in excellent company. Saturday night Denny, our friends Dave and Peggy, and I went to an excellent Chinese restaurant. Actually our Dave, who travels in China said it was nothing like what they eat there but it was delicious at any rate. Then we got ice cream at a local shoppe. Mine was Coffee Mocha chip. Yum! We sat around at their place chatting until late and then off to bed. Sunday the guys went to the car show while I went with Peggy out shopping. Finally found a new coffee maker just like the picture here. The red looks fab in our kitchen along side the red tea kettle and chrome other stuff. Sort of that whole retro modern thing I like. Later we all converged back at our friends house and after having cold drinks, Denny and I drove back home. Got here about 7:30 or so last night. I set up my coffee maker and ran a carafe of water through it so I could use it this morning. Then we watched "Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels." Really fun. Brilliant stuff.
Today Ben and a friend are out driving around looking for trains or something. Hmmm... I'll never understand. But at least he isn't in the basement staring at a TV screen!
I will be driving Andy back to school this afternoon, sans computer. His computer suffered a near fatal breakdown. Parts have been ordered but will not arrive for a few days. Then he will probably make a quasi-emergency trip home to rebuild his computer under Ben's watchful eye.
Today's interesting fact: The popular trend towards flavored coffees originated in the United States during the 1970's. I reckon I live in the right place then 'cause I love the bloody stuff!
See you around the coffee machine! ~Sue
