Busy Friday

This is a photo of the inside of our garage. Well… actually that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Our garage actually looks worse and there is no room for a bulldozer. At any rate. We’ve borrowed my father in-law’s truck and are going to use it to full advantage on Friday. Dennis has the day off, as do I. We are going to clear out the rubbish, and the recycling and finally deal with the lot. It will actually be 3 trips in all:

1. Landfill - complete rubbish, un-reusable crap including Troll Cave carpet
2. Recycling station - usual recycling stuff.
3. Recycling company - 3 window A/C units, broken tumble dryer, small fridge

Sounds like a lot, doesn't it? We are also taking the truck to a storage building to pick up at least some of the homegrown lumber we have “curing” there and bring it home so Dennis can begin milling it down into usable boards for our kitchen project. He is an ambitious guy. He will be building Shaker style cupboards out of oak that came from our own back yard. The lumber has been curing for 1 1/2 years and is nearly ready to begin the long process of becoming a kitchen.

Thursday Dennis cleaned the carpet in our Living room. It looks very nice! He also cleaned the floor mats from the Honda and bits of our bedroom carpet.

It must be Spring!
