Shaker boxes

Here is my latest batch of Shaker boxes.

I didn’t make very many this time around, only 15.  Most have cherry tops & sides. A couple have mahogany sides & ash tops.  I only had enough maple veneer to make three boxes.  Those are toped with rosewood, padauk, and figured walnut.

This one is custom sized to hold the Starrett 0-1” micrometer that my dad gave me.  I don’t usually make them for myself…  No, that’s not right.  I very much enjoy making Shaker boxes and I guess that enjoyment is why I make them…
