Now I wish I COULD make time!

This is what time looks like from my point of view. I have promised to help Ben with his house project and help him I am. He, Dennis, and I spent all of Sunday in home improvement stores buying stuff for his place. I know it sounds like a money pit but it isn't really. What it is is a time pit. Is there such a thing? Perhaps not but that's what it feels like. Between working at library, doing my normal ordinary stuff, and helping Ben, I feel as though I've lost all of my "free time." I'm not begrudging it really even though it sounds like I am. I am just not used to being this sort of busy. It will not go on forever, there is just such an urgency! The house has to be ready for bank inspection within 6 months so Ben can get a real mortgage loan. Ah well..... the things we do for our family, eh? Our shopping trip was quite successful though. Ben purchased enough wood laminate flooring for both bedrooms. (It was on an excellent sale.) He (with Dennis' help) got plumbing bits. He bought a water heater. Ben got primer/sealer, work gloves, and other odds and sods. We looked at light fixtures, duck vents, paint, tile, vinyl floor tiles. The list is nearly endless. Ben has chosen roofing shingles and has his roofer lined up. Hopefully the weather will cooperate so the roofer can complete the roof quickly. Thankfully the grossest jobs have been completed. The house is still filthy but it is now easier to see it's potential. The gas man will bring a propane tank and hook up the water heater and furnace Wednesday. Things are happening so rapidly. The house is currently all consuming but that will pass quickly and Ben will move into his own place. Will the Troll Cave no longer be the Troll Cave? Will it become an ordinary finished basement? Only time will tell. (see how I cleverly brought time back into the piece?)

Today's interesting fact:

The average person uses 13 different methods to control and manage their time.

Where do they find the time to do that I wonder? ~Sue

Wow, sounds like a it IS going really quickly! Lots of big stuff getting done really soon.

A house is definitely a good investment- especially when it's that cheap to begin with! :)

Don't get burned out! I don't feel like I have much free time either, even though I guess I do.

My comment to your other blog:

WHAT possessed you to buy White Castle coffee?!? I've never had White Castle but I've heard plenty of horror stories (except from Jon Dibbern- he loves it). Eeeew!
