A couple of weeks ago the Library Director received a sheet of uncut one dollar bills in the mail with a letter from a publishing house.
She didn't tell us about these bills. She just sort of crudely cut them apart and put them in with the rest of the cash. When we went to put the cash drawer away at day's end, we saw these unevenly cut bills and thought, "FAKE!" We left a note for the Clerk Treasurer clipped to the money. One of the bills had a wide white margin at top and two had unevenly cut sort of jagged edges. What were we to think then? Next day, the Director told us she had put the bills in the drawer but not what the source was. I said, "They couldn't be bothered to cut them straight!" She said, "I cut them out myself." Gulp! Thought I was in trouble there. But by that time she was feeling a bit embarrassed and thought nothing of it. Whew! What it boiled down to was, it is legal to buy uncut money! Who knew? Oh come off it! You did not!
On another note (ha! note! get it?) It's supposed to snow again overnight tonight. We still have about 6 inches of snow from the last several storms because the temperature hasn't risen above 32 degrees F since then. We may get 2-5 inches additional precip. I actually like winters like this. Cold with a lot of snow. That's the way it should be in the Northern United States, right? I am digging it. (literally as well) Ha!

You're so punny.
It would be fun to have some uncut bills!
We're getting that snow too, but right now it's sleeting instead :(
