Yesterday while I was out bolstering the economy, I went to McDonald's to eat. Really! I actually just wanted the coffee but it was lunch time and I was hungry. Might as well eat there, right? That's what I thought at least. I ordered a McChicken and small fries off their $1.00 value menu. I also ordered an iced mocha, which is NOT on the dollar menu. I have to say, the fries and coffee were very good. Can't really say that about the McChicken. First, I'd forgotten it was breaded. Second, I'd also forgotten it was extruded, flattened, breaded, chicken breast shaped stuff. It tasted fairly good but was also topped with mayo and shredded lettuce. I took off the bottom of the roll and ate about half of the top roll, including the mayo and lettuce. The texture was a bit odd. That was the extruded bit. It would be better with tomato. I should have read the menu a bit more carefully. I also meant to order just an iced coffee but mistakenly ordered the iced mocha. It comes topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. It was quite good but not really what I wanted. I suppose that's what I get for eating at McDonald's, eh? Go ahead. Harass me. I deserve it.
